We are presently looking for Navy Nuclear Qualified Electricians Mates, Electronics Technicians, Machinists Mates, and Engineering Laboratory Technicians to be considered for positions as Auxiliary Operators with several of our Nuclear Utility Clients at various locations in the United States throughout 2008 and beyond.

Qualified candidates who meet our screening requirements are typically flown to the respective plant site at company expense for the appropriate testing, interviews, and plant tour. Successful applicants are then placed in an extensive training program that is similar to the Navy Nuclear Pipeline Schools including both classroom work and hands-on instruction. This intensive training process can be viewed by Navy Nukes as one of requalifying on a Commercial Nuclear Plant.

The starting annual base rate of pay for these positions is between $44K and $50K, depending upon the specific Nuclear Plant. Once through the company-sponsored training program (which is usually completed in six to 18 months) the annual base rate of pay rises to the mid-$50K's. There is also a considerable amount of paid overtime at nearly all of our clients' facilities. All of these openings require rotating shift work that is most often based upon 12-hour shifts.

These openings provide long-term career opportunities with upward mobility for Navy Nukes who have the desire and motivation to eventually serve as Reactor Operators or Senior Reactor Operators in the Commercial Nuclear Power Industry.

We are presently looking for Navy Nuclear Qualified Electricians Mates and Electronics Technicians to be considered for positions as Electrical and Electronics Technicians at a state-of-the-art, heavy manufacturing facility located in sunny Southern California.

Our client's facility is located in a scenic community nestled up against the San Bernardino Mountains about 50 miles east of Los Angeles. The local area offers western living in a year-around sunny environment that is located within driving distance of both the mountains and the ocean.

These positions require a basic working knowledge of both AC and DC electrical and electronic systems and equipment. Typical job duties include maintaining, installing, analyzing, inspecting, performing tests upon, and dismantling equipment, as well as making electrical and electronic repairs.

The starting base pay for these non-union positions is between $19.41/hour and $21.81/hour, depending upon qualifications. Top-flight applicants can expect to progress to $24.15/hour within six to twelve months.

Considerable overtime is currently available at time and one-half. There is also a profit sharing plan that, while not guaranteed, has recently paid an average of almost $5000 per year over a seven-year period.

Our client has an excellent 401(k) savings plan in which you can defer up to 16% of your earnings. The company will contribute an additional 5% to the plan if you save a minimum of 6% of your annual salary. Both employer and employee contributions are immediately 100% vested in the 401(k) plan.

Approximately six Auxiliary Operator Positions will be available with one of our key, long-term Nuclear Utility Clients in the Central Great Lakes Area during the second half of 2008.

Our client offers long-term upward mobility as well as a comprehensive benefit package. Successful applicants will be placed in an extensive training program including six months of classroom work followed by several months of hands-on instruction.

The starting base pay for these positions is $20.84 per hour. Upon successful completion of the successive steps in the training program, the pay rises to $21.84 per hour, $23.01 per hour, $25.86 per hour, $26.45 per hour, $27.56 per hour, and upon full qualification as an Auxiliary Operator, to $28.13 per hour. All applicants are expected to be fully qualified within 24 months.

Considerable overtime is available once candidates have completed the initial training program. All candidates are expected, with time, to become Licensed Reactor Operators, which make $30.40 per hour. All positions require rotating shift work based upon a six-shift schedule with 12-hour days.

We presently have about six full-time, permanent positions for Instrumentation and Controls Technicians with a Commercial Nuclear Utility in the Central Great Lakes Area. This company is one of my long-term clients with whom I have placed numerous Navy Nukes over the past several years. The facility is located in a beautiful north woods setting with four definite seasons. My wife and I have vacationed in the area and have confirmed, first hand, the recreational opportunities that the local setting has to offer to those who like the outdoors.

Plant interviews are being scheduled during February for qualified individuals who will be available between now and about June 1 of 2008. We presently have two full-time, permanent positions for Calibration Technicians in New England with one of the worldís foremost biotechnology companies that is dedicated to making a major positive impact on the lives of people with serious diseases.

These openings are Senior-Level Metrology/Calibration Technician Positions, which require an extensive knowledge of calibrations performed in the bio-tech/pharmaceutical industries. These are fast-paced jobs in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment. Successful applicants must be able to communicate and work in a true team environment. Experience in measuring temperature, pressure, liquid and gas flow, pH, and conductivity is necessary. The ideal candidate will have experience in calibrating instrumentation such as temperature indicators and thermometers, pressure indicators and gauges, balances, pH meters, and conductivity meters. These openings are ideal for a six- to eight-year Navy Nuke Electronics Technician.

These are non-union positions with a starting hourly base rate between $26 and $29 per hour, depending upon qualifications. These positions may be for either the first or second shift. Four to six full-time, permanent positions with our Fortune 500 Client Company are available and will remain open until filled. This is one of our long-term clients whom we have placed about 80 Navy Nukes over the past 18 years. This organization is one where a true team environment is emphasized.

This facility is located in a scenic rural area that is within close commuting distance to several urban centers. We are presently seeking to fill two openings for a Maintenance Electrician with one of our non-nuclear heavy manufacturing clients in Eastern Texas. Our client is motivated to fill these positions quickly and is hopeful to have the right candidates on board within the next six weeks.

The compensation for this position consists of a progressive hourly rate as well as a productivity bonus. This opening requires rotating shift work that entails 12-hour shifts with four days on and four days off. Considerable overtime is also available at time and one half. Successful candidates should make between $50K and $60K during the first year with some overtime. Historically, a great deal of paid overtime has been available for those employees who wished to use it.

As a Maintenance Technician, successful applicants should have an excellent understanding of electrical and electronics theory and practice, good mechanical abilities, excellent troubleshooting and interpersonal skills, and good leadership abilities. Experience in performing routine and corrective maintenance on AC/DC motors and generators, distribution systems, and motor controllers is a definite plus.

Upon being hired, the employee would undergo an extensive training program to become familiar with the technical specifications of our client's instrumentation as well as the appropriate maintenance procedures.
